Breast Cancer Update #2

It pains me to have to share this news with all of you . . . In the last week, we have found out the our amazing Ellen Jung has also been diagnosed with breast cancer. As said, “In this family no one fights alone.” I didn’t expect to have someone so close to me –professionally and personally– to join the cancer club with me.

We have waited to share this information with you until we knew more. She has a very early cancer, ductal carcinoma in situ and will be having a lumpectomy early in September. So, Ellen and I will be going through this process together, and we will beat this thing together. You will see us in our pink capes being strong and fighting this battle. I know all my patients love Ellen as much as we all do, and it is so sad and frightening that this is happening to our practice. But we at PWH are a team…we are strong and will fight this together.
