Botox Cosmetic

Wrinkle Relief for a Smooth Complexion

How does BOTOX® work?

A combination of factors can cause facial lines. It’s not just about the cellular changes that may occur, or reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals from the sun and the environment.

Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows causes the skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. BOTOX® Cosmetic works beneath the surface and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines in adults – to help them look better.

What to expect during and after treatment:

Some patients receiving BOTOX® Cosmetic report the injections to feel like a pinch. You may begin to notice a visible smoothing of frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines within 24 to 48 hours, with full results in 30 days lasting up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatment the moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines will gradually return.

What is Radiesse?

Radiesse and Radiesse (+) are dermal fillers that are FDA-approved to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). Radiesse is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands. Radiesse is also the first and only CaHA injectable treatment in the U.S.

What is CaHA?

Calcium hydroxylapatite, or CaHA, is what makes Radiesse unique as an injectable aesthetic treatment. It’s the first and only CaHA portfolio available that provides both immediate, natural-looking results and long-term improvement—a year or more in many patients.

What areas can be treated with Radiesse?

Radiesse effectively reduces the prominence of the following wrinkles:

  • Pre-jowl folds
  • Chin wrinkles
  • Smile lines
  • Corners of the mouth
  • Marionette lines

It also enhances the appearance of patients’ hands by:

  • Restoring volume loss, which contributes to the signs of aging
  • Minimizing the visibility of veins and tendons

Finally, Radiesse (+) can improve jawline contour:

  • For adults over the age of 21
  • Effective improvement in moderate to severe loss of jawline contour

Belotero Balance (+)

Hyaluronic Acid Filler

What is Belotero Balance (+)?

Belotero Balance (+) is an injectable filler that is used to smooth moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles in your lower face. Upon injection, it quickly and evenly integrates into your skin.

Is this like a botulinum toxin treatment?

No, Belotero Balance (+) is totally different. It fills in areas within the skin to reduce the depth of wrinkles, lines, and folds. The skin remains mobile and flexible, with a natural look, feel, and movement.

Balance (+) and other filler treatments?

Belotero Balance (+) is a hyaluronic acid injectable filler designed to integrate into one’s facial skin tissue. The unique manufacturing process for Belotero Balance (+) yields a soft and cohesive gel that, once injected, instantly fills the skin to help smooth moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles in the lower face.

While the product is versatile enough to handle moderate nasolabial folds (smile lines), lines around the mouth, and chin wrinkles, it may be an ideal option for treating delicate areas such as etched-in vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above and around the lips).

How soon can I expect results?

Immediately upon treatment, Belotero Balance (+) helps smooth etched-in lines and wrinkles, such as vertical lip lines above and around your lips.

How long does it last?

Individual results may vary, but Belotero Balance (+) may last 6 months or more. Some facts that affect how long it lasts are the amount of product used and the area it is injected into. In areas that experience a lot of movement due to eating, talking, and smiling, the product may not last as long as in other less active areas.

How much do I need?

Just as wrinkles and folds vary from face to face, so does the amount of Belotero Balance (+) needed per treatment. It’s very individual—it depends on the amount of correction desired, the number of areas to be treated, and other factors. Your healthcare provider can better estimate once you have a consultation about your individual needs.

What is Belotero Balance made of?

Belotero Balance (+) is made of a substance called hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural component of skin. HA binds to water, making it an ideal product for correcting wrinkles and folds, as it binds with the skin’s own water.

The HA in Belotero Balance (+) is specially formulated in a proprietary process to create a uniquely smooth and cohesive gel. This injectable gel blends into the natural structure of your skin, filling etched-in lines and wrinkles and creating a smooth, natural look and feel.

Does it hurt?

As with all injectable treatments, there can be discomfort associated with the procedure. If you have concerns, discuss them during your appointment, because there are effective ways to manage this during treatment.

How is the treatment performed?

Belotero Balance (+) is injected into the skin in a simple, quick treatment performed by Dr. Frankel using a fine-gauge needle. You can either sit or recline during treatment and the aftercare is minimal.

Any there any side effects?

Belotero Balance (+) is FDA-approved and has undergone testing in a clinical study to demonstrate its safety.

Common side effects include mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. These side effects typically resolve on their own. If any of these side effects persist for more than 7 days, contact us immediately.

How long is the recovery time?

There is very little to no downtime associated with a Belotero Balance (+) treatment. In fact, most patients return to their normal, daily activities right after their visit. Every patient is unique, so be sure to discuss this during your consultation with us.

Before and After

Jeanette, age 36, four weeks after 2,6 CC Belotero Balance+ injection in the smile lines, lip lines, and lines around the mouth. Individual results may vary.
